Real Lucky is the artist project for Los Angeles based writer/producer, Kyle Neal. Started almost by accident amidst a global pandemic, Real Lucky grew from something to kill the time into a full-fledged project in a very short period of time. Building on years of experience writing and producing for other artists, Kyle began to apply these skills to songs that felt too personal to be sung by anyone else. As the weeks went on, Kyle kept adding to his collection of songs while exploring new sonic directions. What emerged was a unique blend of joy, frustration, optimism, pessimism, sobriety, and levity that feels perfect for watching the world unravel around you while you’re trapped inside.

Everything has been written, produced, played, mixed, and mastered by Kyle (with the exception of drums played by Robert DeLong on select tracks). The songs draw on Kyle’s folk/Americana past while infusing modern pop, indie, and electronic influences giving way to something that walks the line between organic and electronic while still telling universally relatable stories.
